Vladimir S. Sinyavsky

He is one of the largest specialists of the world level in metal corrosion.
Doctor of technical science since 1978, Professor since 1989.

The main results of his works were published in 6 monographs, 150 articles. He is the author of 60 inventions. Under the management of V. Sinyavsky 12 state standards and more than 50 methods related to particular branches of industry were developed. He is an expert representing Russia in the Technical Committee ISO 156 "Corrosion of metal and alloys". He is the author of several standards ISO for test methods. V. Sinyavsky is a member of 2 leading Academic councils for viva, member of the editorial boards of 2 magazines. He is a member of the Board of the Academy of Science for electric chemistry. He has been an associate member of the European society for Surface Treatment (ESTAL) for many years. He is the creator and the head of the leading in Russian laboratory of corrosion and protective covering of the All-Russia Institute of Light Alloys. Under the guidance of V. Sinyavsky technological processes of chemical, electric chemical treatment and protective covering appliance were developed. He is a constant participant in the international congresses and symposia devoted to the problems of metal corrosion and metal protection.
