Guennady S. Makarov

One of the leading Russian specialists in casting technology and aluminum alloy billet casting.
He graduated from the Polytechnical University in Odessa.
Doctor of Science, specialty "Casting production" since 1983, Professor since 1995, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural sciences since 1996.
G. Makarov has a long fruitful experience in aluminum industry and All-Russia Institute of Light Metals where he worked as Deputy Director for scientific work in the sphere of billet production technology and production of light alloy semi-products for 10 years. G. Makarov is a recognized world authority in the area of metal quality management of the most complicated modern alloys in the process of billet melting and casting. He participated in creation of local billet production practically for all new light alloys. His works and presentations at international meetings are of great interest to the scientific community: leading experts of the aluminum industry in Russia and of many foreign companies.
He is the author of 5 monographs, 140 articles and 45 inventions. He is a member of the editorial board of the magazines "Non-ferrous metals" and "Technology of Light Alloys", member of the bureau of the "Metallurgy" department of the RANS.

G. Makarov is an expert - auditor of the Aviaregister of the Interstate Aviation Committee for metal materials.
