Valery V. Zakharov

He is a famous domestic specialist in physical metallurgy and thermal treatment of the wrought aluminum alloys.
Graduated from the Moscow Steel and Alloys Institute. Doctor of Science.

The entire scientific and production activities performed by V. Zakharov are connected with All-Russia Institute of Light Alloys, where he is now a head of the laboratory metallography and physical metallurgy. The works of V. Zakharov made a decisive contribution to the basic achievements of the present Russian science and industry in structure and characteristics management of aluminum alloys while creating new semi-products with the improved operating performance.
He is the author of more than 160 scientific works including two monographs, 3 reference books, 145 articles, more than 50 inventions and patents for new aluminum alloys and methods of their processing.
