Welcome to Sergiev Posad!

A very picturesque and historically rich city – the center of Russian orthodoxy, a real pearl in the necklace of the Gold Ring cities of Russia. Sergiev Posad represents rare Old Russian cities that were founded not around a Kremlin, as, for example, Moscow, but around a monastery. The world famous the Trinity – St. Sergius Monastery called the spiritual heart of Russia is located in the city. In 1993, the marvelous architectural ensemble of the Trinity Monastery was inscribed on the UNESCO List of the World Cultural Heritage. The surroundings of Sergiev Posad deserve being called unique. In Radonezh, the Reverend Sergius of Radonezh spent his youth; in Hotkovsky Monastery in Pokrovsk, the saint relics of the Reverend Sergius of Radonezh’s parents are kept; in Gephsimansky cell in Chernigov, there are the only-in-Moscow-region monacal underground cells – caves. All the places are full of saint founts, and among them the amazing, 20-meter-high waterfall «Gremyachy», famous for its healing radon water with the constant temperature of +6° C regardless of the season of the year.
Bus tour plus walking excursion, lunch is included.
