On June 6-8, 2006, the First in Russia International Conference and Exhibition “Aluminium Coatings – XXI century” was successfully held in the Moscow “President Hotel”. It was organized by “Alusil - MVT” and the Aluminium Extruders Association and sponsored by such leading companies as: Iplana (Russia), Alufinish GmbH & Co.KG (Germany), Trasmetal S.p.A. (Italy), Henkel Technologies (Russia). The Forum gathered about 100 delegates from 13 countries. The most numerous foreign delegations were from Germany, Italy and USA.

At the Conference plenary sessions 35 papers were presented by the leading foreign and Russian specialists on the actual issues and main tendencies of the modern market of coatings on aluminium alloys. The sessions were conducted on both English and Russian languages. Simultaneous translation was provided.

The Conference participants had the opportunity to visit the exhibition stands of the foreign and Russian companies, where there were presented the latest achievements in aluminium products and aluminium alloys surface treatment and coatings.
The exposition was held at the exhibition halls of the Moscow “President Hotel”.

On the final day of the Conference the participants visited the “FEZ” Factory and the “Mosmek” Plant, the leading manufacturers of aluminium extruded profiles and building constructions.The factories are well equipped with the facilities for the aluminium profiles coatings (powder coating and anodizing).

The Organization Committee of the Conference offered its participants a broad cultural and entertainment program, including the Evening tour around Moscow, Cocktail Party and river voyage through the center of the city on a floating island of comfort – banquet river boat.
